COVID-19 Testing Information
Are you concerned about possible exposure to the novel coronavirus? Are you exhibiting symptoms such as fever, coughing, and shortness of breath? To help ensure your safety and peace of mind, PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers remote COVID-19 prescreening services via telemedicine. From the comfort of your home, you can talk with a medical expert, who will evaluate your health and answer your questions.
During your Virtual Visit, your provider may direct you to seek COVID-19 virus testing. If so, you can preregister for a COVID-19 test at our urgent care center in Norwalk. We’ll send your sample to a certified lab for processing and contact you when we receive your result. In the meantime, we’ll explain what you can do to avoid spreading germs and protect the health of yourself and others.
Please note that COVID-19 testing requires advanced reservation as we are not taking walk-in COVID-19 test patients.
Virtual Visits—Easy, Convenient Telemedicine at Your Fingertips
Virtual Visits allow you to access the same top-notch care you’d receive if you came into our urgent care center, but from the comfort of home. You’ll use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to log on to our secure videoconferencing platform and have a face-to-face chat with one of our providers to discuss the medical issue you’re experiencing. Telemedicine is perfect for evaluating minor conditions, such as sore throats, sinus pain and pressure, seasonal allergies, colds and coughs, the flu, urinary tract infections, rashes, insect bites, acid reflux, and other non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
While most Virtual Visits conclude with the provider recommending a treatment regimen—which may include prescribing medication that can be sent to patients’ local pharmacies—in some cases, follow-up care is required. This may be due to needing additional lab testing or further evaluation. Your provider will arrange for you to visit our urgent care center in Norwalk, if so.
Virtual Visits are covered under most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and we also accept FSA and HSA cards. A payment of $50 is required for self-pay patients.
