Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

COVID-19 Testing Information

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a COVID Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

Virtual Visits—Easy, Convenient 24/7 Telemedicine at Your Fingertips

Virtual Visits allow you to access the same top-notch care you’d receive if you came into our urgent care center but from the comfort of home. You’ll use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to log on to our secure videoconferencing platform and have a face-to-face chat with one of our providers to discuss the medical issue you’re experiencing. Telemedicine service is perfect for evaluating minor conditions, such as sore throats, sinus pain and pressure, seasonal allergies, colds and coughs, the flu, urinary tract infections, rashes, insect bites, acid reflux, and other non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

While most Virtual Visits conclude with the provider recommending a treatment regimen—which may include prescribing medication that can be sent to patients’ local pharmacies—in some cases, follow-up care is required. This may be due to needing additional lab testing or further evaluation. Your provider will arrange for you to visit our urgent care center in Norwalk, if so.

Virtual Visits are covered under most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and we also accept FSA and HSA cards. A payment of $50 is required for self-pay patients.

To schedule telemedicine service with PhysicianOne Urgent Care, select “Book Now” under Connecticut Virtual Visits. You’ll be able to choose the time slot that works best with your schedule—sometimes within 15 minutes! Our telemedicine service is available seven days per week for your convenience.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
