PhysicianOne Urgent Care Mohegan Lake

Professional Walk-In Urgent Care Services for Patients in Mohegan Lake, NY

Are you in need of adult or pediatric urgent care treatment in the Mohegan Lake, New York, area? If so, turn to the professionals at PhysicianOne Urgent Care. Whether you’re feeling under the weather, you’ve sustained a non-life-threatening injury, or you’re in need of a flu shot, we’ve got you covered. We offer:

We understand how difficult it can be to fit a doctor’s visit into your busy schedule, so we offer after-hours urgent care and are open 365 days per year. We never require appointments, so you can stop in without having to worry about calling first. But, if you’d prefer to reduce your waiting time, you can take advantage of our online check-in system

COVID-19 Testing – We Take Your Health Seriously

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a COVID Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

24/7 Telehealth – Consult With a Provider Virtually

At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we are always looking for new ways to expand our services and make them more accessible to our patients. Toward that end, we are pleased to offer telemedicine, which we believe can be an effective alternative to an in-person office visit if you are experiencing non-life-threatening symptoms, such as a mild fever or cough. We also believe it is especially important to make telehealth services available within the context of the current global environment, in which everyone is encouraged to stay at home as much as possible in order to prevent the spread of germs and disease.

So, what exactly is telemedicine? Through the use of highly secure telecommunication technologies such as live videoconferencing, telemedicine makes it possible for you to remotely consult with a provider via your smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer. During your virtual visit, you can receive timely medical attention and individualized advice from a medical expert—all while never leaving the safe confines of your own home. Virtual visits with our providers are convenient, private, and secure, and the protection of your personal information is a top priority for us.

By making healthcare services more accessible to a wider range of patients, telemedicine can potentially improve health outcomes and ultimately shift the current healthcare paradigm in favor of better patient care. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we support this important initiative wholeheartedly. If you’re feeling under the weather and need medical advice but would prefer to stay home, request a virtual visit with one of our providers. We’re always here for you.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
