After Hours Urgent Care Mohegan Lake NY

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is an after-hours urgent care center in Mohegan Lake, New York. What does that mean? We provide non-emergency health care services beyond the normal business hours kept by traditional doctors’ offices. On weeknights, weekends, and holidays, our experienced team is available to quickly diagnose and treat most non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. However, we do not provide care for critical medical conditions, such as major trauma or a suspected heart attack or stroke. In those instances, you need to call 911 or go straight to an ER.

Of course, those examples are pretty obvious. Your decision on where to go for immediate care in a sudden and scary medical situation may not always be that clear-cut. But we can help you decide. Think of it this way: If you have a health-related issue that you would normally discuss with your primary care physician, that issue can also be addressed at our after-hours urgent care center. But always follow your gut. If you have a bigger problem, or it’s just something you feel shouldn’t wait at all, then the ER is the right place for you to go.

We’re Quicker & More Affordable Than an ER in Non-Emergency Situations

Since emergency rooms must prioritize patients with life-threatening health concerns, our after-hours urgent care center can get you in and out more quickly if you have a relatively minor medical issue. At an ER, patients routinely wait hours to be seen for a potentially non-life-threatening illness or injury. Because ERs are in the business of saving lives, that’s the way the triage system has to work.

Ultimately, your out-of-pocket cost for health care will depend on your insurance coverage. However, because PhysicianOne Urgent Care is not an emergency provider, we are not required to maintain as much equipment or specialist availability as an ER. As such, many insurers require a lower copayment for an urgent care visit.

At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we are committed to providing easy access to better health care. Stop by our after-hours urgent care center in Mohegan Lake today, or book a Virtual Visit.

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
