COVID-19 Symptoms Evaluated Here

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

Telemedicine Services Are Available for Mamaroneck-Area Patients

If you’re feeling under the weather but don’t want to leave your home to seek medical attention, there’s an alternative available to you: an at-home telehealth appointment. PhysicianOne Urgent Care is pleased is to make telemedicine services available to patients in Mamaroneck and surrounding areas.

Through our secure video-conferencing platform, we can evaluate and treat many of the same conditions that we see at our local immediate care center, including:

  • Influenza (the flu)
  • Insect bites

Scheduling a telemedicine appointment is easy—you can do so on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can choose to be seen either as soon as possible (usually within the next 15 minutes) or at a later specified time, whichever is more convenient for you.

During your virtual visit, one of our skilled providers will ask about your symptoms, recommend how to proceed with treatment, and answer any questions you may have. We can also refill certain prescriptions and assess symptoms of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), if necessary. If your provider determines that you require in-person care—whether for testing purposes or follow-up treatment—he or she will let you know.

If you’re concerned about the cost of our telehealth services, you’ll be glad to know that most insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid, now cover virtual visits. We also accept Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Spending Account (HSA) cards. And, for uninsured patients, we have a $130 flat-rate fee per session.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
