Technology has made so many great things possible: easily connecting with family members scattered throughout the world, finding information on just about any topic you desire, and even getting high-quality medical attention without leaving home. That’s right: Now, you don’t have to drive to an urgent care center when you need medical care; you can simply talk to a provider using your smartphone, tablet, or webcam-enabled computer. Telemedicine makes it all possible!

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers telemedicine services to patients in Derby, Connecticut, and surrounding areas, and we have a conveniently located facility where you can receive follow-up care if warranted. Our urgent care center is fully equipped with a clinical lab, digital X-ray capabilities, and more to provide the well-rounded medical care you need.

  • Minor burns
  • Minor sprains and strains

How It Works

When you schedule a Virtual Visit with PhysicianOne Urgent Care, you will be sent a link to a secure videoconferencing platform. From this link, you will be connected with one of our experienced medical providers to discuss your condition. This provider will review your medical history, assess your symptoms, and answer any questions you have. Then, he or she will provide you with a treatment plan. If we prescribe medication as part of that plan, we can forward your prescription to your local pharmacy so you can easily pick it up after it has been filled.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
