Why Choose PhysicianOne Urgent Care for Telehealth?

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is proud to offer a convenient way for individuals in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts to receive top-notch medical care without leaving home: our telehealth services! If you’re feeling under the weather, staying home is typically the best choice to make for yourself and others, and now you can do that while receiving the medical attention you need. Our Virtual Visits take place over a secure videoconferencing platform. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or webcam-enabled computer, and you can have a face-to-face visit with one of our highly knowledgeable practitioners who will offer the medical attention you need.

The Benefits of Our Telehealth Services

While we’re always happy to see our patients in our urgent care centers, our telehealth option offers many benefits for individuals seeking immediate medical care. Here are a few reasons to choose a Virtual Visit from PhysicianOne Urgent Care:

  • We can treat a wide variety of non-life-threatening ailments, including colds, flu, fever, gastrointestinal issues, earaches, bites and stings, minor injuries and burns, vomiting and diarrhea, and so much more. Even if you think your ailment requires an in-person visit, it’s not a bad idea to start with a Virtual Visit and see if we can provide the care you need remotely.
  • Our practitioners are able to fill and refill certain prescriptions. For example, if you need an antibiotic for your child’s pink eye or need a common medication refilled for GI issues, we may be able to take care of that for you.
  • You won’t need to take time off from work to visit a doctor for medical care. You can schedule the Virtual Visit during your lunch break or before or after your workday. Plus, you won’t have to worry about someone watching your children while you’re at the doctor.
  • You reduce your risk of exposure to others by staying home and receiving your medical care virtually.

How to Schedule a Virtual Visit With PhysicianOne Urgent Care

Scheduling a Virtual Visit with PhysicianOne Urgent Care is easy! Simply click “Book a Virtual Visit” at the top right-hand corner of our website and then select your state of residence. From there, you’ll pick a date and time for the Virtual Visit and then fill out our form to tell us more about yourself and why you’re seeking a telemedicine visit. There’s also an area to select whether you’re using insurance or self-paying. (Most insurance companies cover the cost of telemedicine visits, and we will bill your insurance company directly. Self-pay patients can expect to pay $130 for the visit.)

During the Virtual Visit, you will speak to a PhysicianOne Urgent Care practitioner who will assess your symptoms, learn about your medical history, answer any questions you have, and recommend the appropriate next steps to take. If your practitioner believes an in-person visit is necessary, we can direct you to your local PhysicianOne Urgent Care facility for prompt treatment.

Contact PhysicianOne Urgent Care today if you have any questions about our telehealth services. Or you can book your Virtual Visit online—we’re available seven days per week for your convenience.

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
