We are a one-stop urgent care center, including after-hours urgent care services for:

Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

COVID-19 Testing for Local Residents

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

Why Choose Us?

There are multiple reasons why PhysicianOne Urgent Cares should be your provider of choice if you’re seeking efficient treatment for common illnesses and injuries. We are certified by the Urgent Care Association (UCA) — the national organization for urgent care — and we’re affiliated with Yale New Haven Health System, one of the most prestigious healthcare organizations in the country.

We also understand that people have busy lives and need flexibility, especially when an unexpected injury or illness occurs. We offer extended hours and are open every day of the year, and we send any new health records to your primary care physician to ensure the best continuity of care for you. The friendly and compassionate team at PhysicianOne Urgent Care will do everything possible to ensure that you’re satisfied with the urgent care treatment we provide.

Telemedicine When You Need It Most

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is also here for you virtually! With Virtual Visits, you can access telemedicine services from the comfort of your home. You’ll receive the same great care that you’d get if you came into our urgent care center, but without the hassle of driving when you’re feeling under the weather. During this confidential patient-to-provider visit, you’ll use your phone, tablet, or computer to log on to our secure videoconferencing platform. You’ll describe your symptoms and ask questions to the provider, and then he or she will recommend the appropriate next steps to take in your treatment regimen. This may be as simple as getting rest and drinking fluids, or it may require follow-up care at our urgent care center for additional evaluation and treatment.

We can treat a large majority of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses with Virtual Visits. Some of the more common conditions include coughs, colds, the flu, rashes, insect bites, heartburn, minor injuries, seasonal allergies, sinus pain and pressure, headaches, and constipation. We also offer patients who may have concerns about symptoms related to coronavirus (COVID-19) virtually.

We’ve made it easy to book a telemedicine visit with PhysicianOne Urgent Care. You’ll be directed to an appointment page. Simply select “Book Now” under Connecticut Virtual Visits to schedule an appointment at a time that works best with your schedule. Our telemedicine services are often covered by insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, and we also accept FSA and HSA cards.

For top-of-the-line walk-in medical care, choose PhysicianOne Urgent Care, proudly serving Derby and surrounding Connecticut communities.

Please note: To ensure an exceptional experience for each patient with ample time for proper care, we accept our last patient 15 minutes before closing.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
