The Care You Need, When You Need It
Life can be hectic – we get it. Finding the time to squeeze in an appointment at a primary care office that closes at 5 p.m. sharp is sometimes difficult, if not impossible. That’s why our Westwood urgent care center is open 365 days per year; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Appointments are never necessary, although you can check in online if you prefer to reserve your place in our queue from the comfort of your own home.
You can visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care for any of the following health care services:
- General injury and illness treatment
- Digital X-ray services
- Clinical lab services
- Flu shots and other immunizations
- Occupational medicine
- Sports, summer camp, and school physicals
The health and happiness of our patients are our foremost priorities. That’s why our team partners with local primary care providers to help ensure continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for our patients. We are dedicated to creating a positive experience for our patients through personalized treatment and compassionate service. When you visit us for walk-in urgent care, you can be assured that your health is in the most capable of hands.
Testing for Your COVID-19 Symptoms
PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.
Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.
Connect With Us From Home
Now more than ever, it is vital for everyone to avoid public places as much as possible to minimize the spread of germs and protect our collective health. However, it is still important to receive medical care when necessary. For many people, this presents a difficult situation.
At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we are pleased to offer telehealth services to connect our patients with the care they need—without requiring them to leave home. Using sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology, our providers are able to consult, diagnose, and treat patients—remotely and in real time. Telemedicine can be a convenient and effective way to address non-life-threatening health issues, such as a cough, fever, and fatigue.
If you would like to virtually consult with a PhysicianOne Urgent Care provider, you can use an iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile device, or a personal computer if it has a camera and a microphone. You can feel confident that your discussion will be private and your personal information will be safeguarded. Our telehealth system meets stringent HIPAA requirements regarding data transmission and storage.
In certain situations, virtual visits have shown to be just as effective as face-to-face visits. In fact, telemedicine can potentially improve health outcomes by making it easier for patients to comply with self-care and follow-up recommendations.
With that said, telemedicine is not right in every situation. You can be assured that the team at PhysicianOne Urgent Care will only suggest a virtual visit for you if we believe it is appropriate for your circumstances. Additionally, during your video conference, your provider may determine that an in-person consultation is necessary, in which case he or she will recommend an office visit. As always, our goal is to provide the care you need while keeping you as safe as possible. Click here to request a virtual visit today.
