STD Testing Medford MAIf you’re worried that you might have a sexually transmitted disease (STD), visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Medford, Massachusetts, for prompt testing services. Our facility is open seven days per week with extended evening hours and we have an onsite clinical lab that can process your test quickly.

STDs are actually quite common, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that around 20 million new cases occur each year in the United States. This is why it is crucial for sexually active individuals to receive regular STD testing, even if they practice safe sex. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can test for the following STDs:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Herpes
  • Syphilis
  • HIV
  • Hepatitis B and C

What to Expect During an STD Test

There’s no need to be nervous during an STD test—our practitioners provide these services regularly for our patients and you can count on discreet, compassionate care from our team. First, the medical professional you see will conduct a brief physical exam (female patients may also need a pelvic exam). Next, your practitioner will draw blood or collect a urine sample. In some instances, your practitioner may need to collect a sample from affected tissue(s) and, if so, he or she will use a sterile cotton swab.

No Appointment Necessary

Visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Medford for prompt STD testing. You do not need to book an appointment beforehand, but if you prefer to skip the wait in the waiting room, you can check in online.

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
