Get a Flu Test at Our Brockton, MA, Urgent Care Center

Picture of a woman lying in bed sick with the flu, holding her left hand to her forehead to check for a fever and holding a tissue in her right hand.If you’re experiencing the hallmark symptoms of influenza (the flu)—including a fever, chills, a headache, muscle aches, fatigue, congestion, coughing, and a sore throat—you may want to take a flu test. Fortunately, if you’re in Brockton, Massachusetts, you won’t need to travel far for one of these tests—PhysicianOne Urgent Care proudly offers rapid flu tests at our local office.

Do You Need an Influenza Test?

Not everyone who’s experiencing the symptoms listed above requires a flu test. In fact, in many cases, the experienced providers at PhysicianOne Urgent Care are able to diagnose patients with the flu based on their symptoms alone, without the need for any additional testing. When you visit us for flu diagnosis and treatment, we’ll let you know whether you’re a candidate for a flu test.

How Long Does a Flu Test Take?

Because PhysicianOne Urgent Care uses rapid flu tests, the process doesn’t take long at all. We’ll use a cotton swab to collect a mucus sample from your nose or throat, then we’ll test the sample at our on-site lab. We’re often able to provide patients with flu test results in as little as 15 to 20 minutes.

Flu Tests Available 365 Days Per Year

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is the convenient choice for flu tests and all of your other immediate care needs. We’re open every day of the year with extended hours, and because we offer flu tests on a walk-in basis, you won’t need to bother making an appointment ahead of time (you still have the option of scheduling a visit, if desired). "The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
