PhysicianOne Urgent Care Stratford

Convenient, Accessible Urgent Care Center in Stratford, CT

Treats Patients 365 Days Per Year, No Appointment Needed

We’ve all been there, that day during a holiday weekend when you or a family member wakes up feeling under the weather and you have to face the reality that your doctor’s office won’t be open. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we don’t want anyone to have to wait for the medical care they need just because it’s a holiday, or the weekend or they can’t get an appointment to see a primary care doctor. That’s why our staff is dedicated to providing convenient, high-quality care to Stratford, Connecticut area residents 365 days per year.

Comprehensive Walk-In Care Services

At our location in Stratford, our providers can diagnose and treat a wide range of general illnesses and common injuries. Our medical experts also provide the following services in a clean, welcoming, and professional environment:

Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

Get Tested for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

Why PhysicianOne Urgent Care?

You may be wondering what sets our urgent care center apart from others. Aside from being certified and accredited by the Urgent Care Association, we are proud to be partnered with Yale New Haven Health System, one of the nation’s most prestigious healthcare systems. These credentials and affiliations speak to the level of care patients can expect when visiting PhysicianOne Urgent Care locations.

We also offer urgent care after hours to cater to those with busy schedules, and we accept most major health insurance plans while also providing affordable self-pay rates.

Telemedicine Services Available

Are you too busy or feeling too under the weather to come into our urgent care center for medical treatment? Never fear—Virtual Visits are here! Our experienced practitioners offer telemedicine services for individuals and families who want to receive top-notch medical care for minor illnesses and injuries. We can evaluate and treat sore throats, sinus infections, rashes, bug bites, headaches, coughs and colds, the flu, urinary tract infections, constipation, and other conditions. We’ll be able to offer our recommendations for the next steps you should take in your treatment regimen and can even prescribe medication that can be picked up at your local pharmacy.

A Virtual Visit is conducted over our secure videoconferencing platform. This will be a confidential patient-to-provider visit where you can talk about the symptoms you’ve been experiencing and ask the provider questions about your condition. In most cases, you can receive a diagnosis and treatment during the visit, but if follow-up care is necessary, we can arrange that to happen right at our facility in Stratford for your convenience.

Virtual Visits are now covered under most health insurance plans, so we can bill for the cost of our services, including for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Plus, we accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Our telemedicine service costs $50 for self-paying patients.

Schedule a telemedicine appointment by clicking here and then selecting “Book Now” under Connecticut Virtual Visits. You’ll be able to choose a time that works best for your schedule. We’re available seven days per week.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
