PhysicianOne Urgent Care Brookfield

The Walk-In Urgent Care Center You Can Trust in Brookfield

Dealing with sickness or injury is a hassle, but receiving the medical care you need shouldn’t be. That’s what we believe at PhysicianOne Urgent Care – a physician-founded network of urgent care centers founded right here in Connecticut. Our urgent care center in Brookfield, Connecticut, provides easily accessible medical attention to adults and children with an array of non-life-threatening health concerns, from coughing and congestion to broken bones and minor burns. We have extended hours every day – including weekends and holidays – and do not require appointments, so you can receive the expert medical attention you need, when you need it.

We are affiliated with Yale New Haven Health System – a strategic partnership that allows us to fully meet the urgent care needs of patients throughout Connecticut and New York.

We are proud to be the first urgent care center in the state to be licensed and certified by the Urgent Care Association (UCA) – a trusted organization that recognizes immediate care providers dedicated to delivering outstanding care and convenience.

Comprehensive & Convenient Urgent Care Services

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers an extensive range of services at each of our locations, including after-hours services. We are a one-stop location for:

We understand that urgent care is only one component of the health care continuum, so we’re here to be a trusted partner as part of your care. Our physicians collaborate with local primary care providers and hospitals to help ensure continuity of care and the best possible results for each patient who walks through our doors. Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

Our COVID-19 Testing Process

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

Providing Telemedicine Services for Your Convenience

Don’t feel like making a trip into our urgent care center for medical treatment? That’s why we offer Virtual Visits to our patients! This patient-to-provider telemedicine service allows you to connect to one of our practitioners using your smartphone, tablet, or computer and receive expert medical evaluation and treatment right from the comfort of your home. Our Virtual Visits are ideal for patients who are concerned about symptoms that may be related to coronavirus (COVID-19) and would like a medical professional to evaluate them. We can also offer treatment recommendations for insect bites, rashes, urinary tract infections, sore throats, eye infections, migraines, colds, the flu, acid reflux, seasonal allergies, sinus pain, minor injuries, constipation, and other non-life-threatening conditions.

Here’s how our Virtual Visits work:

  • You’ll be connected to one of our providers on a secure videoconferencing platform.
  • This visit will be completely confidential—just as it would be if you came into our urgent care center—and you’ll have ample time to discuss your symptoms and ask questions.
  • The provider will talk to you about his or her treatment recommendations and discuss the next steps you should take.

Scheduling a telemedicine appointment with our expert team at PhysicianOne Urgent Care is easy! Select the “Book Now” button under Connecticut Virtual Visits. You’ll be directed to a page where you can explain your symptoms and select the time that works best for your needs. We offer Virtual Visits seven days per week to provide the ultimate in convenience.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
