Walk-In Urgent Care Services When You Need It Most

At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we offer a full spectrum of health services, including:

Why PhysicianOne Urgent Care?

PhysicianOne Urgent Care was founded in 2008 by a team of physicians who wanted to bring high-quality care to their community. They wanted to deliver an urgent care experience that was positive, patient-focused, and professional. In doing so, PhysicianOne Urgent Care earned accreditation with the Urgent Care Association as well as affiliation with the Yale New Haven Health System. When you visit us for medical treatment, you can expect top-notch care from a team devoted to you.

We Offer Testing & Treatment for COVID-19 Symptoms

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer Rapid PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

24/7 Telehealth – Get the Care You Need From the Comfort of Your Own Home

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is pleased to offer telemedicine services to patients in Bristol and surrounding areas. Whether you don’t feel up to driving, or you’re concerned about exposure to other illnesses, sometimes you’d prefer to just stay at home. Our telehealth virtual visits—which we provide over a secure video conferencing platform—let you do exactly that. We deliver the same great service we offer at our local immediate care center, but without the need for you to leave your house.

When you attend a telemedicine appointment—which you can do using a phone, tablet, or computer—you’ll be seen by one of our skilled providers, who will ask you about your medical history and any symptoms you’re currently experiencing. Based on the information you provide, we will recommend a course of treatment suited to your specific condition. If you require a prescription, we can even call that in to your preferred pharmacy. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions.

We can virtually treat a wide array of non-life-threatening illnesses, such as influenza (the flu), sinus infections, migraines, seasonal allergies, asthma, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and the common cold. We can even assess symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). And, we can treat insect bites, rashes, minor burns, and many other non-life-threatening injuries. Of course, certain conditions require in-person testing and treatment, and we’ll be sure to let you know if you need to visit our nearby urgent care center.

To take advantage of PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s convenient telemedicine service, and select “Book Now” under Connecticut Virtual Visits. It’s easy—we’re open every day of the year with extended hours, and most health insurance carriers offer coverage for telehealth visits, including Medicare and Medicaid. "The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
