Our network of physician-founded urgent care centers serves adults and children, assisting them with a wide array of non-life-threatening health concerns ranging from the common cold to broken bones and everything in between. We know that illnesses and injuries often strike at the most inopportune moments, so we have extended hours every day at our Hamden, Connecticut, urgent care center—including weekends and holidays—and we don’t require appointments.
Our Hamden clinic offers urgent care treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Plus, we can also perform vaccinations, physicals, X-rays, and offer on-site lab testing, ensuring that all of your urgent care needs are met. And because we know you want answers as quickly as possible, we offer rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing with same-day results for COVID-19, the flu, RSV, and strep throat. Please call ahead for same-day X-ray availability.

Whether it’s the middle of the night or you simply don’t feel like leaving the house, you can count on our 24/7 telemedicine service.
Using a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you’ll connect with a local PhysicianOne Urgent Care provider over our secure videoconferencing platform. The provider you chat with during your telehealth visit will evaluate the symptoms you’re experiencing and recommend the best treatment approach for your specific needs.
Our experienced providers are trained in emergency, family, and internal medicine. In fact, you’ll find many are the same experts who have treated patients in local area hospitals.
We are proudly Affiliated with Yale New Haven Health Care System in Connecticut and New York, and with Tufts Medical Center in Massachusetts. We, also, work collaboratively with local providers, including your primary care or specialty doctor, across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Fees vary, though are significantly lower than a visit to the emergency room and generally the same or slightly higher than a visit to your primary care doctor.
If you have insurance, the total charges will be determined based on your insurance provider’s policy regarding urgent care and the level of care you receive during your visit with us. If you have further questions, please contact your insurance company.

COVID-19 Testing & Treatment
At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we deliver professional, fast, and friendly urgent care, and our COVID-19 services are no exception.
We offer a wide range of COVID-19 testing options at our Hamden urgent care center, including rapid PCR tests with same-day results, rapid antigen tests, and antibody tests. We also treat COVID-19, and as a designated Test to Treat center, we can fill Paxlovid prescriptions on site.
