Urgent Care Physicals for Families in Franklin, MA

Picture of children playing soccer. If your child needs a physical and you don’t have time to wait for an appointment with their pediatrician, you can turn to PhysicianOne Urgent Care. Our Franklin, Massachusetts, immediate care center proudly offers:

These urgent care physicals are offered on a walk-in basis, so you won’t need to worry about scheduling an appointment ahead of time. Instead, stop in whenever it’s most convenient for you—we’re open 365 days per year with extended hours.

What to Expect During Our Urgent Care Physicals

School, sports, and camp physicals are different from annual physicals, which tend to be more comprehensive (please note that PhysicianOne Urgent Care doesn’t offer annual physicals—you’ll need to visit your child’s pediatrician for those examinations). During one of our urgent care physicals, we’ll determine whether your child is healthy enough to perform the activity in question by:

  • Measuring their height and weight
  • Checking their vitals, including their blood pressure and pulse
  • Reviewing their medical and family histories
  • Examining their eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, and joints
  • Evaluating their strength and flexibility

Please be sure to bring along any forms that have been provided to you by your child’s school, sports team, or camp, along with a copy of your child’s most recent immunization records.

Offering Walk-In Physicals

As was noted above, PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s physicals are available on a walk-in basis. Simply stop into our Franklin urgent care center whenever we’re open—we’re conveniently located at 648 Old West Central Street, near Starbucks—or reserve your spot in line by taking advantage of our online check-in system. You can also call us at 860-650-3848 if you have any questions or need directions to our office.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
