Walk-In Physicals at a West Hartford, CT, Urgent Care Center

Count on PhysicianOne Urgent Care when you need a prompt physical in West Hartford, Connecticut. We are a leading urgent care center that offers sports physicals, school physicals, camp physicals, and more for individuals of all ages in the area. And we’re open seven days per week with extended evening hours for your convenience! So, if you suddenly find out that your child needs a physical to start school on Monday and it’s the middle of the weekend, stop by! We’ll take care of the physical exam for you.

What to Expect

At our urgent care center, the physicals we offer are not an alternative to an annual exam. Instead, they ensure a child is healthy enough to participate in certain activities. Our physical exam includes:

  • Recording the child’s height and weight
  • Take vitals, including blood pressure and pulse
  • Examining the child’s heart, lungs, stomach, ears, nose, throat, and vision
  • Learning about the family’s medical history
  • Answering any questions parents have concerning their child’s health

It’s important to bring all of the necessary paperwork to this appointment, including your child’s latest immunization records and the form required by the school, camp, or athletic team.

CDL/DOT Physicals by Appointment

We also offer CDL/DOT physicals by appointment only. This is a much more involved exam and requires having a specialized practitioner on hand to administer it. We ask that you bring a copy of your exam form with sections 1 and 2 filled out and a copy of the medical examiner’s certificate. A fee of $150 will be charged for this physical, so please be sure to have payment ready for this.

Stop by PhysicianOne Urgent Care in West Hartford if you or your child needs a physical. We are located at 21 North Main Street and will be happy to help you.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
