STD Testing at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Stratford, CT

STD Testing Stratford CTLike many people, you probably lead a busy life, and STD testing may seem unimportant in relation to other, more pressing matters. But, don’t allow your health to fall by the wayside. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we think our patients should be able to make time for their health without having to completely rearrange their schedule. That’s one reason why we offer STD testing – in addition to a full range of other non-emergency healthcare services – on a walk-in basis at our office in Stratford, Connecticut. If you’d like, you can check-in online before you leave home, but an advance appointment for STD testing is unnecessary.

What’s It Like to Receive an STD Test at PhysicianOne Urgent Care?

In a comfortable and confidential setting, you can feel free to talk candidly with an experienced medical professional, who will answer your questions and determine which STD tests are appropriate for you (no single test can detect all STDs). We can administer your test(s) on-site, so you won’t have to worry about traveling to several testing centers or coordinating with multiple providers. Your visit with us, which may include a physical examination, cheek swab, blood test, and/or urinalysis, should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes.
The timeframe for receiving the results of STD testing can vary from a few minutes to a few weeks. Regardless, you can rest assured that we’ll contact you as soon as your information becomes available so we can go over it with you. If you are diagnosed with an STD, we can also discuss your next steps and help you begin treatment, if necessary.

STD Testing Is Important for All Ages

Studies show that, as compared to older adults, sexually active teenagers (15-19 years of age) and young adults (20-24 years of age) are at higher risk for acquiring STDs. The reason can be attributed to a variety of behavioral, biological, and cultural factors. Nevertheless, the bottom line is this: If you’re sexually active, regular STD testing is essential to protect your overall health – regardless of your age.
Stop by PhysicianOne Urgent Care for STD testing on any day that suits your schedule. Our office in Stratford is open 365 days per year during extended hours. Come in today!

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
