Urinary Tract Infection Treatment Is Available at Our Southbury, CT, Urgent Care Center

Urinary Tract Infection Treatment Southbury CTPhysicianOne Urgent Care is pleased to offer walk-in treatment for urinary tract infections (UTIs) at our immediate care center in Southbury, Connecticut. While UTIs are often referred to as “bladder infections,” they can affect not just the bladder, but the entire urinary system, including the urethra, ureters, and kidneys.

What Are the Symptoms of a UTI?

UTI symptoms can vary from person to person depending on a number of factors, including the area where the infection began and the type of microbe involved. However, one of the most common UTI symptoms is an intense, persistent urge to urinate but an inability to produce much urine. Other symptoms to watch out for include:

  • Burning, stinging, or itching sensations while urinating
  • Cloudy or foul-smelling urine
  • Red, bright pink, or cola-colored urine
  • Urine containing small blood clots
  • Back pain or discomfort
  • Fatigue
  • An overall feeling of being unwell
  • Pelvic pain (in women)

If a UTI has spread to your kidneys, you may also experience a fever, chills, confusion, nausea, vomiting, and pain in your side or upper back. Also keep in mind that UTIs don’t always cause noticeable symptoms.

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
