PhysicianOne Urgent Care Southbury

Physician-Founded Urgent Care for Individuals & Families in Southbury, CT

Life can be hectic sometimes, particularly when an illness or injury strikes and you need medical care right away. When your schedule doesn’t align with your primary care office hours, choose PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Southbury, Connecticut, for prompt and professional non-life-threatening illness and injury treatment on a walk-in basis. Our urgent care center is an affiliate of Yale New Haven Health System and is certified and accredited by the Urgent Care Association (UCA). These distinctions speak directly to the high level of care and convenience we deliver to our patients.

Of course, affiliations and certifications are probably moot points if you’re injured or feeling sick. You just want the relief you need, and fast. That’s why our providers are here to serve you every day – including weekends and holidays – and we never require appointments. We keep wait times brief, but to expedite your visit, we also offer a convenient online check-in system that allows you to reserve your spot in line from the comfort of your own couch.

Comprehensive Walk-in Urgent Care Under One Roof

PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s modern, clean, and comfortable center in Southbury offers a full spectrum of non-emergency care. In one location, you can receive:

You can be assured that your well-being is in the most capable of hands as our patient. In a commitment to fostering a healthy and happy community, we maintain partnerships with local primary care physicians and hospitals to help ensure continuity of care for our patients once they walk out our doors.

Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

COVID-19 Testing at PhysicianOne Urgent Care

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing for patients with or without symptoms. We offer PCR and Rapid (antigen) testing, as well as antibody testing. Simply walk in to be tested, or reserve your spot online for your test. You can also start your test with a Virtual Visit, meeting with one of our providers via telehealth first, and your subsequent in-center test will be expedited. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, loss of taste or smell, and general malaise, but these symptoms can also be attributed to the common cold and the flu. That’s why it’s a good idea to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

Here at our urgent care center, we also offer antibody testing. This test can determine whether COVID-19 virus antibodies are present in your blood, which means you had the virus at some point in the past, even if you didn’t have any symptoms. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. Getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies helps researchers learn more about the virus’s immunity and is an important first step in learning more about this virus.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
