Offering Urgent Care STD Testing & Treatment for Norwalk, CT, Residents & Visitors

STD Testing Norwalk CTPhysicianOne Urgent Care is pleased to provide testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) at our Norwalk, Connecticut, location. We test for a variety of STDs, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes, HIV, and syphilis. After performing a physical exam and conducting some testing — which may include taking a urine sample, drawing blood, or collecting a tissue sample using a sterile cotton swab — we’ll be able to let you know if you have an STD and recommend an appropriate course of treatment.

Can STDs Be Treated?

Being diagnosed with an STD can be incredibly stressful, but you can rest easy knowing that almost all STDs are treatable, and most are curable. Treatment for chlamydia, one of the most common STDs, usually involves taking oral antibiotics for one to two weeks. Gonorrhea treatment also involves antibiotics. Some viruses, such as HIV and HPV, currently don’t have a cure but can be managed with treatment. Based on your test results, our knowledgeable providers will prescribe treatment that’s tailored to your specific condition.

STD Testing & Treatment on a Walk-In Basis

If you require STD testing or treatment and you don’t want to wait for an appointment with your primary care provider, you’ll be glad to know that PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers these services on a walk-in basis. Visit our Norwalk office — located in the old Hour Building at 346 Main Avenue — on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., or on weekends and holidays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and we’ll be happy to provide you with the care you need.

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
