School, Camp, Sports & DOT/CDL Physicals in an Urgent Care Setting in Manchester, CT

Does your child need a physical before starting school, a camp program, or a sports team? You can come straight to PhysicianOne Urgent Care, no appointment necessary! There’s no need to take time off work to fit in a visit with your child’s pediatrician for the physical—our experienced practitioners can take care of it for you on your schedule. We’re open seven days per week with extended evening hours, so you can visit us at a time that works best for you.

Why Does My Child Need a Physical?

School, camp, and sports physicals determine the general health and fitness level of children who plan to participate in specific activities. They also help to identify any underlying conditions that may affect a student’s performance and place him or her at a higher risk of injury. While not a replacement for an annual physical—which is a much more involved examination—it can give parents a good snapshot of their child’s overall well-being and development.

When you visit our urgent care center for a school, camp, or sports physical, be sure to bring the following items:

  • The physical exam form that must be filled out by a medical practitioner
  • Your child’s immunization records
  • The driver’s license and insurance card of the accompanying parent
  • A form of payment

DOT/CDL Physicals

Our urgent care center also conducts DOT/CDL physicals by appointment only. Since these examinations are more thorough, they require a specialized practitioner to conduct the assessment. Please remember to bring a copy of the exam form (sections 1 and 2 should be filled out), a copy of the medical examiner’s certificate, and a form of payment.

Need a quick school, camp, or sports physical completed for your child? Visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Manchester today! If you need to schedule a DOT/CDL exam, please contact us at (860) 516-5070 and we’ll be happy to arrange this physical at a date and time that works for you.

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
