Many Types of Physicals Completed at Our Urgent Care Center in Enfield, CT

At PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Enfield, Connecticut, you can walk right in for a physical—no appointment necessary. Our urgent care center is open seven days per week with extended evening hours, making it easier than ever to stop by for a school, sports, or camp physical for your child. With minimal wait times and efficient service from skilled practitioners, you can mark this task off your to-do list just like that.

What to Expect

School, camp, and sports physicals are used to ensure a child is healthy enough to safely participate in activities, has had the proper health screenings, and has up-to-date immunizations. During your child’s physical exam, our practitioner will take his or her vitals, assess his or her vision and hearing, and evaluate his or her ears, eyes, nose, throat, lymph nodes, and abdomen. Height and weight will also be checked, and medical history will be discussed.

Parents are asked to bring their child’s recent immunization records as well as the physical exam request form.

DOT/CDL Physicals

Our urgent care center also offers DOT/CDL physicals. Since these physicals are more specialized than a typical school physical, you must schedule an appointment to ensure we have a qualified practitioner available to conduct your exam. A DOT/CDL physical assesses an individual’s general health to ensure he or she can properly operate a commercial vehicle. Each exam involves a general wellness evaluation as well as a detailed health history. In certain situations, drug and alcohol testing is required.

Please come prepared for your DOT/CDL test with the physical exam form (with sections 1 and 2 completed), the medical examiner’s certificate, and a form of payment. (The fee for the exam is $150.)

Contact PhysicianOne Urgent Care today to learn more about the physicals we complete for students and adults in Enfield. We’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
