We’re often an excellent alternative to primary care providers (PCPs) and emergency rooms (ERs).
Have you ever called your PCP and discovered that they didn’t have any openings for days or even weeks into the future? You could go to the ER, but then you’d be at risk for long wait times and an exorbitant bill. That’s where urgent care centers like PhysicianOne Urgent Care come in handy. We’re a great choice for when you need prompt treatment but your condition isn’t life- or limb-threatening. We treat minor illnesses and injuries, administer vaccinations, and perform school, sports, and camp physicals 365 days per year during extended hours.
Our professional and friendly staff can help with a wide range of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Lab testing and digital X-ray imaging mean we can treat you easily and quickly. Plus, our team is trained to treat all ages (newborn to centenarian). Please call ahead for same-day X-ray availability.
We stand apart from other local urgent care centers.
PhysicianOne Urgent Care has been treating patients since 2008, and our commitment to always providing professional, fast, and friendly urgent care has helped us earn certification from the Urgent Care Association (UCA). We take pride in being able to offer quick turnaround times without ever sacrificing the quality of our patient care.
You should visit an urgent care provider when you need medical attention for an acute condition and your PCP is unavailable. Urgent care centers can treat illnesses and injuries that develop suddenly but aren’t severe enough to necessitate a trip to the ER. Some urgent care practices—like PhysicianOne Urgent Care—also offer additional services such as vaccinations and physicals.
Although urgent care centers are generally equipped to treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries, ERs are the better choice for life- or limb-threatening conditions. And while some urgent care providers offer extended hours, they’re typically not open 24/7 (although PhysicianOne Urgent Care does offer 24/7 virtual visits). ERs, on the other hand, are open all day, every day. When compared to ER visits, urgent care visits are usually less expensive and involve shorter wait times. Learn more.
While urgent care centers are a great option for when your PCP is unavailable, it’s still important to maintain a relationship with a primary care doctor. Your PCP will have a thorough understanding of your medical history and be able to advise you on long-term and chronic health concerns, including issues relating to mental health, stress management, and nutrition. To decide whether an urgent care practice is the right choice for your needs, you should consider how close they are, whether their hours fit your schedule, whether their providers are qualified, whether they’re affiliated with any hospitals, and whether they accept your insurance (or, if you’re uninsured, whether they offer an affordable self-pay rate). No, you don’t. While we’re happy to schedule appointments in advance, if desired, we always welcome walk-ins. So, feel free to stop in whenever we’re open.
All of our urgent care centers offer on-site digital X-rays and lab testing, so we’ll most likely be able to complete everything you need on premises.
As long as you don’t require hands-on testing or treatment, you can take advantage of our convenient 24/7 telemedicine service, which allows you to speak to one of our providers from the comfort of your own home. Our locally based providers will assess your injury or illness right away and determine if you need to be seen at an ER overnight or if you can wait until one of our centers opens in the morning.
Yes, we will. We believe that collaborating with PCPs helps ensure that our patients receive the best possible overall care, so when you arrive at one of our urgent care centers, we’ll ask for your doctor’s name and contact information. Once we finish treating you, we’ll forward your records to your PCP’s office so that they’re kept updated on your health status. We also refer you back to your PCP for any necessary follow-ups.
Actual costs will vary based on your condition, the type of treatment you require, and your insurance coverage, if you are insured. With that said, our urgent care visits generally cost significantly less than trips to the ER. Learn more
