PhysicianOne Offering Walk-In School, Sports, and Camp Physicals

Providing an ideal solution for busy parents, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is offering noappointment physicals for school, sports or camp activities.
Brookfield, CT — Children often require updated physical examinations before they’re allowed to participate in school, sports or camp activities. To make things more convenient for busy parents, PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers walk-in physicals at each of its Connecticut locations.
Examinations are important for children who plan to get involved in physical activities. Unfortunately, according to PhysicianOne Urgent Care Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, difficult schedules and unforgiving deadlines can make it hard for parents to secure timely appointments with their pediatricians or family medical doctors.
“Physicals screen for potential health problems that could preclude a child from participating in certain rigorous activities,” said Dr. Kenkare. “Unfortunately, limited appointment availability can make it hard for parents to schedule physicals with family physicians. PhysicianOne Urgent Care provides an ideal solution when deadlines prevent parents from scheduling timely appointments for their children.”
With a full-time staff of experienced medical professionals, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is a convenient alternative when children need a complete physical for school, sports, and camp activities. All forms are completed on-site at the time of service, with no appointment required. In addition, PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s staff follows up with each patient’s primary care doctor and forwards medical records and paperwork completed during the visit.
“Advance appointments aren’t always practical with today’s hectic schedules,” said Dr. Kenkare. “PhysicianOne Urgent Care provides a perfect solution for busy parents and family doctors. In fact, many physicians refer their patients to us, when their offices are too busy for physicals and other less-serious medical needs.”
In planning for a visit, parents need to bring their child’s required physical form and a copy of their most recent immunization records. They should also bring a driver’s license, an insurance card for future visits, and an $80 payment in the form of cash, debit or credit card.

Son kissing mother

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today.
