Walk-In Sinus Infection Treatment in Enfield, CT

A sinus infection is a painful condition, characterized by such symptoms as nasal congestion, runny nose, headaches, coughing, facial pain and pressure, and sometimes fever. While most sinus infections get better on their own, if your symptoms have persisted for 10 days or longer or are accompanied by a fever of 101 degrees or higher, you should come to PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Enfield, Connecticut, for prompt sinus infection treatment. We are open seven days per week with extended hours, and you’ll always be seen by an experienced practitioner.

What Is Sinusitis?

A sinus infection, also called sinusitis, is an inflammation of the sinuses. The sinuses are air-filled cavities located behind the forehead, in the bony structures of the cheeks, between the eyes, and in the bones behind the nose. When the sinuses are clear and functioning normally, they sweep mucus, dust, and germs down the back of the throat to be deposited into the stomach. However, inflamed sinuses have swollen nasal tissues that will block mucus and not allow it to continue through the body. This results in congested sinuses, facial pain, headaches, and more.

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
