Prompt COVID-19 Testing in Stratford, CT

Whether you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with the virus, receiving prompt COVID-19 testing is crucial. PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Stratford, Connecticut, is open seven days per week with extended hours, and we can provide the testing you need. We offer both rapid and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests as well as antibody testing to determine if virus antibodies are present in your body.

How to Get Tested

There are two ways to receive COVID-19 testing at PhysicianOne Urgent Care: You can simply walk in to our clinic or schedule a Virtual Visit beforehand.

  • Walking in – Reserve your spot in line using our online check-in option or just stop by our facility. Your test will be given after anyone in front of you in line has been taken care of.
  • Scheduling a Virtual Visit – You’ll speak to one of our medical practitioners over our secure telehealth platform who will schedule an in-clinic test if he or she believes that’s the appropriate course of action. If so, your test will be prioritized when you arrive.

For the health and safety of our staff and patients, we ask that anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms waits in their car until it’s time to come into the center for evaluation.

Rapid and PCR Tests

Our medical practitioners can recommend the right COVID-19 test based on your symptoms. Both the rapid and PCR tests can be administered to patients with or without symptoms. The PCR test is the “gold standard” of COVID-19 testing, as it is considered to be more accurate than rapid tests. However, the benefit of a rapid COVID-19 test is that results are typically available within 15 minutes while a PCR test may take a few days.

If you need prompt COVID-19 testing, turn to PhysicianOne Urgent Care. Our facility in Stratford is located at 1040 Barnum Avenue. We ask patients to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing to receive their test.

Father and Daughter Having Fun
I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care.
