PhysicianOne is now Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Norwich, CT
Rest assured, you're in great hands and will continue to receive the same high-quality, fast and friendly urgent care services.
We opened our Norwich, Connecticut, urgent care center in 2013, and we continue to provide high-quality walk-in care to help local patients feel better, faster. Our team understands that work, school, and other obligations can make it difficult to make medical appointments during traditional business hours. That’s why we accept walk-ins, offer after-hours urgent care, and remain open every day of the year, including weekends and holidays.
Many people think of urgent care centers only when they’re injured or feeling ill. While we provide skilled urgent care treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, that’s not all we do. We also offer vaccinations, physicals, X-rays, and onsite lab testing with same-day results. This includes rapid polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing with same-day results for COVID-19, the flu, RSV, and strep throat.
24/7 Telehealth
If you’d prefer to receive care from the comfort of home, you can do so using our state-of-the-art telemedicine service, which we offer on a 24/7 basis. This service allows you to connect to a local provider in real time without having to travel to our Norwich urgent care center for an in-person visit. Instead, you and your provider can have a private, virtual meeting over our secure videoconferencing platform.
Our experienced providers are trained in emergency, family, and internal medicine. In fact, you’ll find many are the same experts who have treated patients in local area hospitals.
We are proudly Affiliated with Yale New Haven Health Care System in Connecticut and New York, and with Tufts Medical Center in Massachusetts. We, also, work collaboratively with local providers, including your primary care or specialty doctor, across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Fees vary, though are significantly lower than a visit to the emergency room and generally the same or slightly higher than a visit to your primary care doctor.
If you have insurance, the total charges will be determined based on your insurance provider’s policy regarding urgent care and the level of care you receive during your visit with us. If you have further questions, please contact your insurance company.
