Flu Shots Mamaroneck NY

Getting the flu is a miserable experience that nobody wants to deal with. With symptoms that include fever, chills, headache, sore throat, and more, you’ll want to avoid it at all costs. The best way to avoid getting the flu is to be proactive and get a flu shot. While getting a flu shot can’t completely eliminate your risk of getting the flu, it can greatly reduce its likelihood. And even if you do get the flu, the symptoms associated with it will be less severe. If you live in Mamaroneck, New York, or a surrounding area, you can walk in to PhysicianOne Urgent Care to receive the flu shot.

Should You Get a Flu Shot?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone should get a flu shot. This means that even if you’re a relatively healthy person who doesn’t get sick very often, you should still get the shot. However, some people are at a higher risk of contracting the flu. These groups include:

  • Adults age 50 and older
  • Women who are or may become pregnant during flu season
  • Healthcare personnel
  • Nursing home residents
  • Caregivers of young children or older adults
  • People with pulmonary, renal, hepatic, cardiovascular, neurologic, hematologic, or metabolic disorders

Open Evenings & Weekends

We understand that with work and other commitments, it can be hard to find time to get a flu shot between typical business hours. Thankfully, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is open seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays, making it easy for you to get the flu vaccine on your own schedule.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today.
