June 24, 2013 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Walk-in center will serve Norwich and surrounding communities
BROOKFIELD, CONN. — The executive management team of Urgent Care of Connecticut announced the opening of their seventh walk-in center in Norwich today. Other Urgent Care of Connecticut centers are conveniently located in Brookfield, Glastonbury, Norwalk, Ridgefield, and Southbury. A sixth location is scheduled to open in Newtown this July. The company foresees rapid expansion over the next 12 to 18 months as the need for urgent care services continues to grow across the country.
“Based on the need for additional healthcare services in and around Norwich, we have decided to extend our presence further east in the State,” said Dr. R. Robert Rohatsch, MD, FACEP, Chief Executive Officer and a founding member of Zucyla Enterprises, the parent company of Urgent Care of Connecticut. “We look forward to supporting the community as an adjunct to primary care physicians on evenings, weekends, and holidays. We are also a convenient alternative to visiting the emergency room for any non-life threatening condition or illness.”
The new facility, located at 607 West Main Street and formerly occupied by Papa Gino’s restaurant, is scheduled to open its doors in September, upon completion of building renovations. Urgent Care of Connecticut centers are the only physician-owned, independently operated urgent care facilities with physicians on duty at all times in this part of Connecticut. It is the mission and vision of Urgent Care of Connecticut to deliver the ultimate in quality healthcare to patients as the premier provider of outstanding urgent care medicine services in the northeast United States.
“We are in the business of exceeding patient’s expectations on every visit and continually receive patient satisfaction scores above 98%,” Dr. Rohatsch went on to explain. “We are currently building our Norwich team and searching for top-notch physicians, radiation technologists, physicians assistants, and front office staff.” Those interested may email human.resources@ucofconnecticut.com.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
