PhysicianOne Urgent Care to Donate $1,400 towards Classroom Supplies for Local Teachers

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is hosting an essay contest to support educators in 14 communities throughout Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts

BROOKFIELD, CT., AUGUST 22, 2016 — As summer winds down, parents, children, and teachers are preparing for a new school year. PhysicianOne Urgent Care is preparing, too. The physician founded urgent care organization supports local families 365-days per year by offering quality walk-in urgent care for all ages. This September, they’re offering even greater support for local communities, by donating $1,400 in gift cards towards classroom supplies for local teachers.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care, which provides walk-in medical care for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries in 14 communities throughout Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, recently launched an essay contest for K-12 teachers at public and private schools in all 14 communities. Teachers are asked to answer one question: How do you keep your classroom healthy? It’s as simple as that.

“We are proud to be a part of so many great communities across Connecticut, and now Somers, NY and Chestnut Hill, MA, and are thrilled to be able to give back to those communities while also providing a platform for local teachers to share creative ideas for promoting healthy classroom habits,” said Andrea Tager, Director of Marketing for PhysicianOne Urgent Care.

“Our experienced providers are here to treat patients every day of the year for illnesses and injuries, from the common cold to broken bones, and to provide medical services beyond urgent care, including sports physicals and flu shots,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, PhysicianOne Urgent Care co-founder and Chief Medical Officer. “As we’ve grown from one center in Southbury, Connecticut to double-digit locations across three states, we are proud to be able to continue to support and give back to our communities.”
