Dr. Vanson is a caring, committed physician who truly enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her approach to outpatient care emphasizes education at each visit to make sure her patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment plan. After earning her MD from St. George's University School of Medicine, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Vanson spent eight years working in primary care in Ridgefield before joining PhysicianOne Urgent Care and has participated in medical relief work in Honduras, Louisiana, and Haiti. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.
When Dr. Vanson isn't working, she can be found watching NHL hockey games, walking her dog and bike riding. She can also be found in other countries - she's an avid traveler who has visited over 45 different countries.
In addition to being a renowned urgent care specialist, Dr. Rohatsch is also a founding partner of PhysicianOne Urgent Care. He is responsible for the planning and direction of initiatives aimed at achieving the highest standards for quality of care, financial performance, company culture and legislative adherence.
After earning his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Rohatsch joined the Department of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he assisted in ongoing research in experimental ventilation techniques. He then continued on to the University of Florida, where he completed his residency in emergency medicine. While a resident, Dr. Rohatsch trained with the NASA Space Shuttle Medical Team and became an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a clinical instructor at Yale School of Medicine, a member of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) and a frequent speaker at UCAOA’s annual national conference. He is board certified in emergency medicine through the American College of Emergency Physicians and has obtained the status of diplomate.
He enjoys fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Rohatsch served during Desert Storm.
Dr. Kenkare is a highly experienced clinician with a background in family medicine. As a founding member of PhysicianOne Urgent Care's parent company Happy Mountains, she is also our Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Kenkare provides guidance and leadership to our health care team, and is responsible for the review of clinical guidelines, decision tools, and outcomes to develop and implement strategies that will improve patient care and clinical quality.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM), Dr. Kenkare stayed on in New Jersey to complete her residency at Warren Hospital, an affiliate of UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is an Assistant Clinical Instructor at Yale School of Medicine, where she teaches her students “patient-centered” interview skills, the delivery of "bad news", and other sensitive issues. She has been a speaker at the Urgent Care Association of America’s national conference and was named to Connecticut Magazine’s 2013 “40 under 40” list of young professionals making significant contributions to the state. Dr. Kenkare has been called upon by state legislators and lobbyists to provide her insights on improving quality of care, clinical outcomes, and cost containment. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Kenkare enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her hobbies include biking, traveling, cooking, and hiking.

Dr. Berger is an accomplished physician with a great bedside manner and a wonderful sense of humor. After completing his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton, Dr. Berger attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Guadelajara in Mexico and Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Norwalk Hospital-Yale University Residency Training Program.
His hobbies include travel, skiing and reading. He is also fluent in Spanish.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Butler is a calm and thoughtful physician who regards her relationships with her patients as partnerships. When diagnosing and treating patients, she always considers the psychological aspect of her patients' health. After earning her MD from UMDNJ (Rutgers) New Jersey Medical School in Newark, she completed her residency at Middlesex Family Practice Residency in Middletown, CT. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians.
When not working at PhysicianOne Urgent Care, Dr. Butler enjoys exploring her creative side. She loves baking, crafting, visiting her favorite website Pinterest and spending time with her family.
You might say helping people in need is in Dr. Cooney's nature. As a retired lieutenant with the FDNY, Dr. Cooney brings a strongly developed sense of caring and teamwork to his practice of medicine. Unsurprisingly, he also takes a particular interest in urgent care and integrative medicine. A graduate of Ross University, Dr. Cooney completed his residency in family medicine at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and is board certified in Family Medicine. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Cooney enjoys running, hiking, weight training, and all sorts of outdoor activities.
Even after 24 years of involvement in the medical field, Dr. Dalbec continues to regard the practice of medicine as a privilege. His broad international medical experience has led to his ongoing interest in urgent care medicine, comparative health care delivery systems and the current and future transformation of the health care system in the United States. Dr. Dalbec received his MD from the Ross University School of Medicine Dominica in the West Indies, and completed his family medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He is currently the Chairman of the Board at Saba University School of Medicine.
Dr. Dalbec enjoys flying ultralight airplanes and cycling. When he`s at home, he`s usually doing auto repair and being a home handyman around the house.
A dedicated and experienced clinician, Dr. Estime is someone who truly enjoys meeting and helping new patients every day. After earning his D.O. from Western University of Health Sciences in California, Dr. Estime went on to complete his residency training in family medicine at St. John’s Hospital in New York. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
When Dr. Estime’s not at work, he enjoys soccer, boxing, and spending time with his family and friends. He’s also fascinated by outer space and would love to visit some day. Dr. Estime is fluent in French and Creole French.
Dr. Khalid is an accomplished physician and a passionate advocate for her patients. Dr. Khalid has also received residency training in preventive medicine and a master's in public health from Yale University. Among Dr. Khalid's many achievements is being named one of the Consumer Research Council's Top Doctors in 2009. Dr. Khalid is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Gordon’s extensive background in emergency medicine and ophthalmology have led to his ongoing interest in urgent eye conditions and minor surgical procedures. After earning his MD at New York Medical College in New York, Dr. Gordon completed residencies in emergency medicine at Worcester City Hospital in Massachusetts and ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine. While at UC Irvine, Dr. Gordon founded an emergency medicine residency program, and spent several years teaching bedside emergency medicine to residents and medical students. He is the recipient of the Kaiser Permanente Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of California College of Medicine. Dr. Gordon is board certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is eligible to be board certified in Ophthalmology.
When Dr. Gordon isn’t winning awards, he enjoys fixing things, bicycling, and ocean swimming.
Dr. Hudson’s philosophy is simple: he believes every health care practitioner should provide their patient with knowledge about how their body works. Dr. Hudson enjoys spending time with his patients to give them the information they need to make better health decisions. In addition to his focus on family medicine and patient education, Dr. Hudson also takes particular interest in health care delivery and alternative healing techniques.
While earning his MD from UC San Diego, Dr. Hudson took an additional year to study overseas and work on healthcare legislation in Washington, D.C. He then went on to complete his residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in NY. Dr. Hudson has a strong background in public health issues: prior to joining PhysicianOne, he volunteered in underserved areas of New York City and worked as a medical director and clinician at neighborhood health centers and foster care agencies. Dr. Hudson is a recipient of the N.Y. State Regents Loan Forgiveness Award, holds a master’s of public health from Columbia University, and is a member of the American Academy for Family Physicians.
Dr. Hudson is also an all-around handyman who enjoys gardening, woodworking, working on home projects, and antique car restoration.

Dr. Papantonio has twice won Attending Physician of the Year at Griffin Hospital, is currently a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, and has his Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Papantonio has many accomplishments, but he is the most proud of being the father of three wonderful children. When he’s not spending time with his family, he enjoys listening to music, golfing, cycling and all sorts of outdoor activities.
Dr. Rose is a highly respected physician who believes in a strong patient-centered approach to her practice of medicine. In addition to pediatrics, she also has a special interest in tropical medicine, rheumatology and dermatology. A graduate of New York Medical College, Dr. Rose went on to complete residencies at Columbia Presbyterian and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. Before joining PhysicianOne Urgent Care, she spent eight years in emergency pediatrics and adult ambulatory care in an emergency department. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of Connecticut State Medical Society, the New Haven County Medical Association, the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine and is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine.
Despite her many professional accomplishments, Dr. Rose’s proudest achievement is being the mother of three beautiful daughters. She also enjoys reading, traveling and sailing. An avid blue water sailor, she has traveled over 48,000 miles by sea over the past 15 years. She is board certified in Pediatrics and in Urgent Care Medicine.
Dr. Woerner, a founding member of PhysicianOne Urgent Care's parent company Happy Mountains, is an accomplished physician with a strong interest in emergency medicine. After earning his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. While a resident, he flew with the Life Flight Trauma Team to provide life-saving support to the critically ill and injured. Dr. Woerner has been on the staff of several local hospitals, is a member of the Urgent Care Association of America, and is board certified in emergency medicine through the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Woerner enjoys spending time with his three sons and wife, water-skiing, and snowboarding.
Scott’s diverse educational background gives him the ability to approach patient care from multiple perspectives. In addition to his expertise in evidence-based medicine and alternative medicine, Scott also has a keen interest in orthopedics. His education includes a B.S. in biology from Houghton College, a ND (Naturopathic Medicine) from the University of Bridgeport, a M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Stonybrook University in New York and he has also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacology at Yale University of Medicine. Scott is a regular contributor to the Journal of the American Association of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants. He is board certified by the NCCPA.
Scott enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with his family.
As a Physician Assistant, Josh’s ability to stay calm during stressful situations makes him a valuable asset at PhysicianOne Urgent Care. With his talent in urgent and emergency care environments, it’s no surprise that Josh is also a member of the CT Disaster Response Team. Although Josh’s primary focus is emergency medicine, he is also interested in emergency procedures and orthopedics. Josh has a B.S. in Health Studies and a M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies, both from Springfield College in Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants.
Josh enjoys playing the guitar, piano, traveling and spending time with his dog, a boxer named Remington.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Erin utilizes her extensive knowledge of primary care, urgent care and emergency medicine to help her patients receive the best possible care. Her exposure to a wide range of medical issues in an emergency setting has also spurred a keen interest in community health and wilderness medicine. Prior to pursuing a career in nursing, Erin worked in community development. She built latrines, wells and elementary schools in developing countries before attending the Columbia University School of Nursing. In recent years, she has been the recipient of the Columbia University Community Service Award, and is a member of the New York State Nursing Association and Emergency Nursing Association.
Erin loves going to the beach and spending time outdoors. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and exploring Connecticut’s parks with her family and dog.
To Kevin, his patients are people first, patients second. He prides himself on bringing an unflinching sense of ethics, honesty, and compassion to all of his patient interactions. A recent graduate of the University of Bridgeport, Kevin has developed an interest in internal and emergency medicine, and is a member of the Pi Alpha National PA Honors Society.
Kevin is deeply dedicated to his family and enjoys spending his free time with his four wonderful children. He is also a sports fan-in fact, the only thing Kevin enjoys more than watching the Steelers and the Orioles games is watching the New York Yankees lose.
Anna’s vibrant and infectious personality helps our patients feel at ease and comfortable at our Chestnut Hill, MA urgent care center. Prior to joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team, Anna worked as a Family Practice Physician Assistant as well as a Physician Assistant and supervisor in the field of interventional spine procedures and pain management.
Anna holds a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies, with High Honors completion, from South University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Athletic Training, from Belmont University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, holds ACLS/BLS and PALS certification, and maintains licensure with the New Mexico Medical Board, New Mexico Controlled Substance Registration, DEA, Massachusetts Medical Board, and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration. Anna is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
When Anna is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, and exploring Boston.
Dr. Debra Gerson is a very personable, sincere, and relatable doctor who always wears a positive attitude.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University where she received a B.A. in Psychology, and also the O'Neill Award. Before getting her MD, Dr. Gerson was very successful in the Nursing field. In 1989, she was awarded the City of New York Nurse of Distinction. She now holds an MD from Health Science Center in Brooklyn.
Prior to joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team in Ridgefield, CT, she worked as a Medical Director for the Open Door Family Medical Center in Ossining, NY.
When not found at our Ridgefield center, Dr. Gerson is usually training for something. She's ran three NYC marathons, and is currently training for her fourth! She loves to run on trails with her lab, Olive. Her husband is a High School English teacher, and together, they have three children that keep them very busy!
Dr. Nancy Louca graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Neurobiology, and completed a joint MD/MBA at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and UCLA Anderson School of Management. After medical school, she completed her Emergency Medicine residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. After working for a couple of years at New York Downtown Hospital ("the 9/11 Hospital"), she moved to the Boston area and worked as an attending physician at the St. Elizabeth's Medical Center Emergency Department. She is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
In 2013, with the mission of creating a school for her children that combined the Montessori Method and Chinese language immersion, Dr. Louca founded Panda Cub Academy, located next to the PhysicianOne Urgent Care Chestnut Hill site. She continues to run the school when she is not caring for patients, and enjoys traveling, being with her family, and cheering on the Patriots.
Dr. Maheshwari is an experienced physician who has been practicing Emergency Medicine for over 30 years. He joined the Norwich, CT PhysicianOne Urgent Care team team after working as an ED Attending Physician in various hospitals. Dr. Maheshwari attended MGM Medical College in Indore, India, and completed a rotating internship at M.Y. Hospital, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He holds a Master of Surgery and a Board Certification in Surgery from the All Institute of Medical Science Delhi. Dr. Maheshwari also holds a Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, as well as ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and the DEA certifications. He maintains licensure in Connecticut, as well as with the State of Connecticut CSP. Dr. Maheshwari is also a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Relihan is a friendly, compassionate, and accomplished physician who is a part of the Derby, CT PhysicianOne Urgent Care team. Before joining the center, Dr. Relihan practiced medicine in various settings including primary care and hospitals.
Dr. Relihan holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from the University of South Alabama, where she graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Relihan completed her internal medicine residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and maintains licensure in Connecticut, while previously being licensed in Alabama and Georgia.
Dr. Relihan received the Outstanding Attending Award of Excellence in Teaching from the Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut in the years 1993-1994. She became a certified Medical Review Officer with the American Association of Medical Review Officers in 2011.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Relihan loves traveling, especially to her favorite place Nantucket Island. She loves to read, craft, and spend time with her family, including her beloved cat, Bella.
It's hard not to be struck by Dr. Christie Sullivan's charismatic friendliness when you first meet her. Her knowledge and compassion is more than enough to feed her infectious smile.
Dr. Sullivan completed her Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, followed by an Emergency Medicine Residency with Vanderbilt University. She is certified with the Medical Licensing Board, the American Board of Emergency Medicine, BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS.
Outside of work, Christie spends most of her time with her three children, who are her greatest joy. She loves to be active and enjoy the outdoors, such as hiking with her dog, Buddy. She also enjoys skiing, and kayaking.
Dr. Hon Hoi Yee received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in Medford and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. After completing his medical internship and residency from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland and Boston University, he started his medical practice at the Waltham Hospital Emergency Department. He then practiced emergency medicine for 22 years at the Northshore Medical Center, Salem. Recently, he started working at Nashoba Valley Medical Center Emergency Department in Ayers, MA and now joins the Physician One Urgent care in Waltham. He was certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and inducted as a Diplomat of the American College of Emergency Medicine in 1991.
His volunteer activities include serving on the board of trustees at the South Cove Manor, Quincy and has been volunteering as a physician for the Boston Athletic Association in the Boston Marathon and other BAA road races. In the past he has volunteered for the Bridge-Over-Trouble-Waters medical van, treating the homeless and run away youths.
In his spare time, he works on his tropical house plants and garden. For exercise, he practices martial arts and jogs. In addition, he loves to travel, scuba diving, hiking, and bicycling.
Bill Argie's sense of humor and ability to make any person smile brightens our patient's day at our Medford, MA urgent care center. Prior to joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team, Bill worked as a Physician Assistant in the field of Geriatric Medicine, Orthopedic Spine Surgery, Primary Care and Occupational Medicine.
Bill holds a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Trevecca University in Tennessee. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Physiology at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, holds BLS, ACLS certification, DEA Registration, Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Physician Assistant License.
When Bill is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. You can find Bill hiking a mountain, kayaking in a lake or cycling through the backroads of New Hampshire.
It is only natural that Brian Chartier chose to become a Physician Assistant. With his sweet and compassionate demeanor, he often goes the extra mile to help patients understand their injury or illness.
Brian graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Natural Sciences. He then attended Pace University and received a B.S. in Physician Assistant studies, where he made the Dean's List. After earning his Masters in Physician Assistant from the Touro College of Health Sciences, Brian worked for Bellevue Hospital Center and Orange Regional Medical Center in Critical Care.
When he's not attending to his patients, Brian can be found playing chess or video games, reading, golfing, on the ski mountain, or spending time with friends and family.
Jessie Dorne's infectious bubbly personality allows her patients to feel instant comfort. He genuine need to care for and help her patients is her first gift to them. The second is following up on this sincere motivation.
Jessie earned a Masters of Health Science from Quinnipiac University. She was a SEARCH Scholar, as well as an Urban Service Track Scholar. She has been on the board of the Associate of Family Practice Physician Assistants for four years, as well as been a Delegate for the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Jessie was previously a Family Violence Victim Advocate for the Greater New Haven area, and also spent time as an Out-Client Counselor.
When not found in the clinic, Jessie fills her time with reading, cooking and hiking. She is artsy, loves cats and also to bake gluten free brownies.
Tamikque's constant smile, gracious demeanor and patience with her patients makes it impossible to doubt the sincerity she has towards her job.
Tamique graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from John Hopkins University. She also attended Pace University where she received a B.S. in Nursing and an MS as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Before joining PhysicianOne Urgent Care, Tamique was fine-tuning her skills in different Emergency Rooms in New York.
In her free time, Tamique loves to explore painting with water colors, traveling, and listening to live music.
Anyone who has met Miryam would say she's funny, sweet, and always smiling. She has a gentle and caring manner and truly loves helping people with their health.
Prior to joining the PhysicianOne team, Miryam completed her clinical training at multiple locations throughout New York including, Columbia Presbyterian, Montefiore, and White Plains Hospital. She obtained her Masters of Science at the Mercy College Physician Assistant Program. She is well versed in Family Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine.
Before attending PA school, Miryam was a Certified Radiologic Technologist. She is an active member with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and maintains her certification with the American Association of Radiologic Technologists. In addition, Miryam holds certifications in ACLS, PALS, and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Originally from Peru, Miryam is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys crafts, cooking and baking in her spare time. She also enjoys traveling whenever she can - she just recently traveled Iceland!
Katelyn is a part of the PhysicianOne team in both our Groton, CT and Norwich, CT centers where her friendly nature and bubbly personality keeps spirits high. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science from Castleton State College in Vermont, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Minor in Biology. During her time at Castleton State College, Katelyn was on the President’s List for over a year, the Dean’s List for over three years, and named “Most Outstanding Student in the Health Science Major” for the 2009-2010 school year. She was also the Chosen Member of the Sigma Zeta National Science and Mathematics Honor Society of the 2010-2011 year. Katelyn completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Arcadia University, where she was awarded a Merit Scholarship. She completed her Clinical Rotations in various locations throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Katelyn is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, as well as certified as a DOT Medical Examiner by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Katelyn maintains licensure in Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut, and is ACLS and PALS certified. Katelyn is also a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Zachary does an excellent job of keeping patients happy and feeling comfortable in our Norwich and Groton centers. Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola College and a Master of Medicinal Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University. He completed his Clinical Rotations at various locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Before joining PhysicianOne, Zachary worked as an EMT, a Research Program Assistant, and a Physician Assistant with experience in urgent care. Zachary is a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, as well as ACLS and BCLS. Zachary maintains licensure in Connecticut, along with Pennsylvania.
Quick to identify patient's needs, and willing to cover wherever needed, Janet can be found in many of our PhysicianOne centers.
Janet is a Board Certified A.P.R.N from New York University, where she wrote her thesis on HPV in adolescents. She has certifications in Pain Management, Intravenous Interventions, Physical Assessment, Diabetes Management and ECG Interpretation.
Prior to joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team, Janet worked as a Nurse Practitioner in a number of fields, including Occupational Rehab, Primary Care, and Orthopedic Pain Management.
When Janet is not working between multiple centers, she passes time selling homes as a realtor.
Before joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team, Randall spent time as a surgical technologist, leading space medicine training, and working as Physician Assistant. Prior to entering the medical field, Randall also spent over 20 years in engineering, project management, and information systems development.
Randall holds an A.A. in Extension Studies from Harvard University; B.A. in Physics from The University of Texas at Dallas where he graduated magna cum laude; M.S., M.Phil. in Electrical Engineering from Yale University; M.S., M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology; M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the University of California; M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from the University of Oxford; and finally his M.S. in Health Science (Physician Assistant) from The George Washington University. Randall is also certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and maintains licensure in Connecticut, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Randall was the first PA to complete the NASA Fellowship in Aerospace Medicine, an interest he developed during his time serving in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard
To PhysicianOne, Ronald not only brings his eleven years of medical experience, but caring personality and fantastic sense of humor.
Ronald graduated from St. Vincent Medical Center of New York as Class President with his certification as a Physician Assistant. Prior to joining the PhysicianOne team, Ronald worked as a PA in a local Emergency Room. He has also served time as Major Physician Assistant to the United States Army.
He is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants, and the AAPA Veterans Caucus. He has received many awards due to his time dedicated to the Veterans Caucus. Ronald is certified as a PA in Connecticut, and as an EMT.
When not working at our Newtown clinic, Ronald's first priority is spending time with his wife and daughter. He is fluent in German, and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, bike riding, hiking, target shooting, motorcycling, and scuba diving.
Gretchen Treves has been a board certified PA since 2002 and joined the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team with over a decade of clinical experience. After receiving her Undergraduate Degree from the University of Vermont in Psychology and Social Anthropology, she attended the University of Georgia for an additional two years for post baccalaureate science requirements and then completed her graduate studies at University of New England with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2002.
Gretchen completed a six month intensive residency program in Emergency Medicine at Southcoast Hospital Group and spent the next six years working in Emergency Medicine and at Charlton Memorial Hospital, gaining experience in both the urgent care and emergency room setting.
After meeting her husband in 2007, she relocated to Boston and transitioned to adult medicine in both clinic and inpatient respite setting, with a focus on primary care and associated chronic conditions, wound care management, and post-surgical care in the inpatient respite setting. Gretchen is also BLS, ACLS and PALS certified.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, painting, photography, and is an avid Boston Terrier and Labrador Lover.
Martha brings her experience as a mother of four teenage boys to her approach to caring for patients. Her unique mix of empathy, humor and professionalism helps her stand out among caregivers. Most recently she had been working at a busy community hospital, in Emergency Medicine, in Pawtucket, RI. Martha earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Northeastern University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and also certified in BLS/ACLS and PALS. She maintains both a MA and RI license as well as DEA and Controlled Substance Registration in both states. Martha is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Rhode Island Medical Society.
Originally from Canada, Martha settled in the US with her family 20 years ago. Before having children, she backpacked around the world with her husband and still enjoys traveling with her family. Outside of work, she spends a lot of time with her family, on her road bike, and enjoys being outdoors as much as she can.
With a good sense of humor, Louise Varca creates a comfortable environment for her patients. After obtaining her RN license from Western Connecticut State University (graduating Cum Laude), Louise received her M.S.N in Nursing from Yale.
Prior to joining the PhysicianOne team, she lived and worked in New York where she logged a number of years working in multiple Emergency Rooms. With many years as an RN to her credit, she is an asset to our team.
Gloria Williams has a tremendous amount of experience. With always having the patient’s best interest in mind and years of practice, she makes a great addition to the PhysicianOne Team.
As a firm believer in the connection between the PCP and patient, there have been many times when Gloria reached out to an on-call Primary Physician on behalf of a patient. She understands the importance of who could best help the patient, whether it’s at an urgent care, with a specialist, or in the emergency room.
Prior to joining the PhysicianOne Urgent Care team, Gloria worked with a facility that covered the entire country in fulfilling their emergency care needs. She has traveled to New Mexico, Oklahoma, and South Dakota to name a few. Gloria is certified AAPA, SEMPA, Centricity EMR, VA EMR, Epic EMR and Allscripts EMR. Gloria has a B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Hahnemann University.
