Telemedicine Virtual Visits Available 24/7 for Orange, CT, Patients

Illnesses and injuries can strike anytime, including overnight when PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s Orange, Connecticut, clinic is closed. Or maybe you are feeling too sick to travel to our office. That’s why, in addition to our extended, 365-days-per-year clinic hours, we also offer 24/7 telemedicine virtual visits with local providers. We’ve got you—no matter the time of day or night.

What Is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine, or telehealth, refers to virtual visits with a health care provider who can assess your symptoms, recommend self-care techniques, prescribe medication, and advise further medical care if necessary.

For a virtual visit, you’ll speak to a provider via your smartphone, tablet, or computer on a secure videoconferencing platform. Your provider will go over your health history and your current symptoms, and may ask to see any visible symptoms like swelling, rashes, or discoloration. Depending on your condition, they may also ask you to perform basic tests or movements, which they can observe to help make a diagnosis. Based on their findings, your provider will advise you on next steps.

While telemedicine is a convenient choice in many cases, there are times when in-person testing and care is necessary. For example, if you require lab testing to confirm a diagnosis (such as for COVID-19 or strep throat) or if you have an illness or injury that necessitates hands-on treatment (like a broken bone), you will need to visit our clinic in person. Additionally, if you have a potentially life- or limb-threatening illness or injury, forgo the virtual visit and call 911 or head straight to the nearest emergency room.

Care When & Where You Want It

We know that illnesses and injuries don’t always happen conveniently during business hours, so we’re here for you 24/7. PhysicianOne Urgent Care accepts most major insurance plans, and we offer affordable self-pay rates for those without insurance. If your virtual visit provider determines that you need in-person care, you’ll be referred to our Orange clinic and treated as soon as possible.

I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care.
