DRIVE-THROUGH COVID-19 TESTING SITE OPEN IN MEDFORD ON APRIL 4

  • Site open for one day. Possibly extended pending availability of test kits.
  • Individuals do not need to be patients of PhysicianOne to qualify for testing.
  • Patients must be pre-screened in advance via a Virtual Visit.

MEDFORD, March 30, 2020 – Medford Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and PhysicianOne Urgent Care announced today that a drive-through COVID-19 testing site will be set up at PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s Medford location, 4110 Mystic Valley Parkway, on Saturday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Licensed PhysicianOne Urgent Care health care providers will test patients who have been pre-screened via a Virtual Visit. No tests will be offered without advanced pre-screening. Patients do not need to be current patients of PhysicianOne Urgent Care but must be pre-screened by PhysicianOne Urgent Care staff in advance by going to www.P1UC.com and following the prompts for the Medford drive-through testing pre-screen.

“I’m so thankful to PhysicianOne for providing this important resource not only to Medford residents, but to residents from our neighboring communities who may not otherwise have access to testing,” said Mayor Lungo-Koehn. “Access to testing is critical in understanding and slowing the spread of COVID-19. I also want to thank Representatives Garballey, Barber, and Donato, and Senator Jehlen, who continue to work on our behalf to secure additional testing for our community.”

“PhysicianOne Urgent Care provides convenient access to high-quality, cost effective care. We pride ourselves in partnering with local municipalities to focus on improving health outcomes for residents,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, DO, PhysicianOne Urgent Care Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer. “We recognize the need for increased access to testing resources right now. We are proud to partner with Mayor Lungo-Koehn and the City of Medford to provide this service to local communities.”

Due to limited availability of test kits, the Medford drive-through site will initially be open for the day on Saturday, April 4. Mayor Lungo-Koehn and local representatives are working to secure additional kits. If and when testing kits become available, the drive-through site at PhysicianOne will be reactivated. Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!
