PhysicianOne Urgent Care is hosting an online vote for community members to select the charity they would like to see supported
2017-07-10-anniversary
SOUTHBURY, CT., July 17, 2017 — It has been nine years since PhysicianOne Urgent Care opened Connecticut’s first (and still the only) UCAOA accredited urgent care center in Southbury, which is now an Affiliate of Yale New Haven Health System. The physician-founded urgent care organization supports local families 365-days per year by offering high-quality walk-in urgent care for all ages. To help celebrate the anniversary and the completion of a renovation to the center, they’re offering even greater support for local communities by donating to a local charity to be chosen by members of the community.
“We wanted to do something special for this community,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, Chief Medical Officer and PhysicianOne Urgent Care co-founder. “We are thrilled to have completed the renovation that will help us better serve our patients, and we wanted to invest in the Southbury community at the same time. Watching families grow and meeting new residents every day has been such a privilege over the last nine years.”
There are three local charities to choose from; Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury, The Southbury Foodbank, and Animals for Life. Voting begins online, on Monday, July 17th. You do not need to be a patient of PhysicianOne Urgent Care to cast a vote for the local charity you would like supported, and you can vote as many times as you like between July 17th and July 31st. It’s as simple as that.
“Our experienced providers are here to treat patients every day of the year for illnesses and injuries, from the common cold to broken bones, and to provide medical services beyond urgent care, including sports physicals and flu shots,” continues Kenkare, “As we’ve grown from one center in Southbury, Connecticut to 18 locations across three states, we are proud to be able to continue to support and give back to our communities.”

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
