PhysicianOne Urgent Care Expands into Massachusetts with Chestnut Hill Opening

Connecticut’s leading urgent care organization brings quality, walk-in care to Massachusetts

CHESTNUT HILL, MA. — Lynne Rosen, Chief Executive Officer of PhysicianOne Urgent Care, is pleased to announce the company’s expansion into Massachusetts. PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s 14th location opened on June 23th in Chestnut Hill at 1210 Boylston St.

“Boston is a hub for quality healthcare and we are proud to bring our innovative model of expert, walk-in care to the area to treat residents in Chestnut Hill and beyond. PhysicianOne Urgent Care is open 365 days per year to care for patients when their primary care doctor is unavailable,” said Rosen. “For non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, we’re an alternative to the ER, saving patients time and money.”

Founded in 2008 by three physicians in Connecticut, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is an industry-leader with 12 locations in Connecticut, and one in Westchester County, New York. The addition of Chestnut Hill increases the company’s Northeast presence, with additional growth anticipated before 2017.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care achieved, and currently holds, both accreditation and certification from the Urgent Care Association of America. Chief Medical Officer and founding partner, Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, is a teaching staff member at Yale School of Medicine and was named to Connecticut Magazine’s 2013 ’40 under 40′ list of young professionals making significant contributions to the state.

“We are thrilled to be in Chestnut Hill to fill in the gap between primary care and the emergency room. We look forward to becoming part of the Chestnut Hill community and being there for our neighbors when they need us most. We also look forward to working with local physicians to serve their patients during off and peak hours,” said Dr. Kenkare.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is focused on quality medical care and an exceptional patient experience. “Our patients’ positive experience with us before, during, and after a visit is a significant part of how we’ve come to be a leader in urgent care. We are not only providing a service, we are helping our patients live healthier and happier lives. And, we are doing it on their schedule,” said Rosen.
