Connecticut’s leading urgent care opens 16th location, with additional locations opening in coming months
MOHEGAN LAKE, NY. — Where do you go for quality medical care when your primary care doctor is unavailable and a long wait in the ER isn’t warranted? One organization has been answering that question in Connecticut since 2008 and brought the solution to Mohegan Lake, New York, last week. PhysicianOne Urgent Care opened its sixteenth location on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Cortlandt Town Center, 3085 Main Street, Mohegan Lake, New York.
In February, PhysicianOne Urgent Care opened its first New York center, in Somers. “The Somers community has welcomed PhysicianOne as their much-needed quality urgent medical care solution and we look forward to providing the same level of care to the Mohegan Lake community,” said Lynne Rosen, Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 2008 by three physicians in Connecticut, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is an industry-leader with 12 locations in Connecticut, two in Massachusetts, and one in Somers, New York. The addition of the Mohegan Lake urgent care center increases the company’s Northeast presence, with additional growth anticipated throughout late-2016 and 2017.
“We look forward to bringing our providers’ emergency medicine and urgent care experience to Mohegan Lake to care for local residents when they need us most,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, Chief Medical Officer and founding partner. “We, also, look forward to working with local primary care physicians to provide high quality, evidence-based care for their patients during off and peak hours.”
PhysicianOne Urgent Care is focused on quality medical care, delivered with an exceptional and convenient patient experience. “Patients can walk in without an appointment or they can check wait times and check-in online, 365 days per year. We offer patients convenient, consistent, cost-effective, and quality care; something that’s otherwise hard to find in some of our communities,” said Andrea Tager, Director of Marketing. “People are busy, healthcare options can be confusing, and healthcare can be costly. We’re proud to be the solution for that.”

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
