Leading urgent care organization opens 15th location; second in Massachusetts
WALTHAM, MA. — Where do you go for quality medical care when your primary care doctor is unavailable? One organization has been answering that question in Connecticut since 2008 and is bringing the solution to Waltham, Massachusetts, this week.
PhysicianOne Urgent Care’s 15th location will open on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 1019 Trapelo Road, Waltham, Massachusetts.
In June, PhysicianOne Urgent Care opened its first Massachusetts center, in Chestnut Hill. “We’ve been welcomed into the Chestnut Hill community and are proud to have integrated so nicely with the neighborhood through our involvement with local schools, businesses, senior communities, and other organizations,” said Lynne Rosen, Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 2008 by three physicians in Connecticut, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is an industry-leader with 12 locations in Connecticut, one in Westchester County, New York., and one in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The addition of the Waltham urgent care center increases the company’s Northeast presence, with additional growth anticipated throughout late-2016 and 2017.
PhysicianOne Urgent Care achieved, and currently holds, both accreditation and certification from the Urgent Care Association of America. Chief Medical Officer and founding partner, Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, is a teaching staff member at Yale School of Medicine and was named to Connecticut Magazine’s 2013 ’40 under 40′ list of young professionals making significant contributions to the state.
“We are pleased to be part of the Waltham community and to fill the gap between primary care and the emergency room. We look forward to bringing our providers’ emergency medicine and urgent care experience to Waltham, to care for the residents of Waltham when they need us most,” said Dr. Kenkare. “We, also, look forward to working with local physicians to provide high quality, evidence-based care for their patients during off and peak hours.”
PhysicianOne Urgent Care is focused on quality medical care and an exceptional patient experience. “Our patients’ positive experience with us before, during, and after a visit is a significant part of how we’ve come to be a leader in urgent care. We are helping our patients live healthier and happier lives. And, we are doing it on their schedule,” said Rosen.
“Patients can walk-in without an appointment or they can check-in online, 365 days per year. We offer patients convenient, consistent, cost-effective, and quality care; something that’s otherwise hard to find in some of our communities,” said Andrea Tager, Director of Marketing. “People are busy, healthcare options can be confusing, and health care can be costly. We’re proud to be the solution for that.”

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
