If you’re currently coping with stubborn congestion or a nagging cough (or both!), treatment is available right around the corner at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Southington, Connecticut. Our full-service urgent care center is open 365 days per year, providing walk-in treatment to adults and children with non-life-threatening health concerns such as colds, the flu, sinus infections, seasonal allergies, and more. And with extended hours, walk-in availability, and convenient online appointment scheduling, we make it simple to find the care you need to get back on your feet.

When to Seek Medical Treatment for Cough & Congestion

Cough and congestion often result from viral respiratory infections that typically clear on their own in a few days. However, it’s a good idea to consult with a medical provider like PhysicianOne Urgent Care if:

  • Your cough or congestion lasts for more than 10 days
  • Your cough produces thick, green or yellow mucus
  • You have a fever
  • You experience wheezing or shortness of breath
  • Your nasal discharge contains blood or is yellow or green
  • You have sinus pain or pressure

Of course, if you are battling nasal congestion or a cough, you probably don’t feel up to getting out of bed. We understand! That’s why we’re pleased to offer Virtual Visits—our telehealth service that allows patients to speak with our clinicians “face-to-face” via a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
