PhysicianOne Urgent Care Glastonbury

First-Class Urgent Care Center in Glastonbury

PhysicianOne Urgent Care is the local walk-in care center that Glastonbury, Connecticut residents can count on when they need fast, expert healthcare services. We understand that when health issues arise, it’s not always on a convenient schedule. That’s when we are here for you. When other doors are closed, you’ll find that ours are open, with our experienced, compassionate medical team to provide high-quality care.

Comprehensive Walk-In Medical Care Services

For non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers a full spectrum of services to meet your needs, including:

We take pride in working as true partners with primary care physicians, hospitals, and others in the community. Should you choose, you can be sure that we will send any new health records to your primary care provider.

Urgent Care patients will be seen as quickly as possible and prioritized over the COVID-19 patients in line.

Safe Testing for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we understand that you may be concerned about COVID-19. If you have classic flu-like symptoms, such as fever, coughing, and body aches—which are also common signs of the novel coronavirus—we can prescreen you remotely for your enhanced comfort and safety. We believe telemedicine is especially important during the current coronavirus pandemic because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are strongly encouraging everyone to stay at home as much as possible to minimize the spread of germs. We also believe a Virtual Visit is an effective alternative to an in-person office visit for COVID-19 prescreening.

During your Virtual Visit, we will assess your health and determine whether COVID-19 testing is appropriate for you. If so, your provider will explain how you can preregister for a nasal swab test at our urgent care center in Glastonbury.

When you come to PhysicianOne Urgent Care for a COVID-19 virus test, you will remain safely in your vehicle while a practitioner collects a sample of nasal secretions from your nose and throat. We will then send your sample to a certified lab for processing and contact you when we receive the result.

Please note that COVID-19 testing requires advanced reservation as we are not taking walk-in COVID-19 test patients.

Why Choose PhysicianOne Urgent Care?

  • Our team is made up of highly experienced providers who treat patients like family.
  • We are proud to be the first physician-founded walk-in urgent care center in the state to be certified and accredited by the Urgent Care Association, an accolade that signifies our commitment to delivering the very best care.
  • We offer fast, convenient care 365 days per year. With short wait times, extended hours, and no appointments required, you’re sure to be seen, evaluated, and back on track faster than you thought possible.

Convenient Telemedicine for the Entire Family

Receiving top-notch medical care is easier than ever with Virtual Visits from PhysicianOne Urgent Care. Virtual Visits, also called telemedicine, allow our providers to offer prompt diagnosis and treatment for patients using videoconferencing. Just as you would if you came into our urgent care center, you’ll be seen by one of our experienced providers one-on-one to discuss the symptoms you’re experiencing and the next steps to take in your treatment regimen. Only, this whole process will happen virtually! Our telemedicine services are completely confidential and available seven days per week.

Telemedicine is ideal for quick diagnoses for common medical problems, such as sore throats, coughs and colds, the flu, rashes, insect bites, urinary tract infections, sinus pain and pressure, seasonal allergies, acid reflux, and minor injuries. PhysicianOne Urgent Care can also evaluate your symptoms if you’re concerned about coronavirus (COVID-19). During this visit, we will ask lots of questions to come to a diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment. We can also prescribe prescriptions, if needed.

Telehealth services are often covered under insurance, so check with your provider before booking an appointment if you’re unsure. We also accept FSA and HSA cards. If you do not have insurance, no worries! A Virtual Visit costs $50.

It’s simple to schedule a telemedicine visit with us. Click here to access our scheduling page, and then select “Book Now” under Connecticut Virtual Visits. You’ll be able to pick a time slot that works for your schedule, and you can often receive an appointment within 15 minutes, if not sooner.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
