PhysicianOne Urgent Care Launches Virtual Visits

PhysicianOne Urgent Care now offers Virtual Visits to help keep patients safe and out of overcrowded hospital Emergency Departments
HARTFORD, CT., March 19, 2020

PhysicianOne Urgent Care announced today they are offering Virtual Visits to Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York residents. When you need urgent care, you want two things: to feel better and to receive professional care quickly. A PhysicianOne Urgent Care Virtual Visit gives patients the option to schedule their visit from home and skip the center and/or waiting room.

“We recognize the need for increased access to the right care, at the right time, especially in the current healthcare landscape. Many telehealth options being offered right now are on-demand, meaning there can be substantial online wait times to meet with a provider. With our platform, patients can schedule a time ahead – often times within the hour – to be evaluated. Initial feedback from our patients who have taken advantage of the Virtual Visits has been fantastic,” says Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder of PhysicianOne Urgent Care.

To schedule a Virtual Visit, visit www.P1UC.com and simply click the ‘check in online’ option. During a Virtual Visit, a PhysicianOne Urgent Care provider will virtually assess patient concerns and symptoms, answer questions, and recommend the next steps the patient should take, while eliminating risk of exposure amidst the coronavirus concern. If an in-center visit is warranted following the Virtual Visit, either for testing or follow-up care, PhysicianOne Urgent Care has 23 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York to continue the visit.

“Our Virtual Visit option gives the patient choices when it comes to healthcare access. The ability to meet with a provider online and receive follow-up care in one of our local centers is our chance to ‘reboot’ how traditional health care is delivered in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our urgent care model continues to be a tremendous asset to the healthcare industry and to the patient population as we are able to quickly pivot, leverage technologies and provide solutions in ways that many other providers may not. We are offering answers and peace-of-mind to patients right away, without having to leave their home,” says Dr. Kenkare.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care has hours that extend beyond normal primary care provider hours, and has locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Westchester County, New York. Walk in or check in online to any PhysicianOne Urgent Care location, seven days per week, 365 days per year.

Son kissing mother

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today.
