Spring Sports and Camp Physicals at PhysicianOne Urgent Care
BROOKFIELD, CT., MARCH 21, 2018 — Though it may not feel like spring, we’re upon the time of year when spring sports kick off for children across the Northeast. For many parents, that means scrambling, last minute, to obtain the physical examination required for participation in those activities.
This year, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is helping children and parents by offering a significant discount on spring sports and summer camp physicals. Beginning March 15, for a limited time, the administrative physical required for children to participate in youth sports and camp is just $35, a nearly 60% savings.
“We are thrilled to offer sports and camp physicals as a convenient option for parents who need the flexibility of evening (after work) hours and weekend hours, without having to schedule an appointment. A sports or camp physical assesses the health and fitness of an individual in relation to particular sport or camp activities. The physicals required for participation in youth sports and camps do not replace the annual comprehensive physical a child should receive at her or his pediatrician’s office,” said Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, PhysicianOne Urgent Care chief medical officer and co-founder.

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
