New video honors educators who have made a difference in the lives of local students, highlights the important role educators play in helping students with feelings of uncertainty and anxiety
BROOKFIELD, CT., AUGUST 14, 2017 — As summer winds down, parents, children, and teachers are preparing for a new school year – and all the emotions that go along with it. Excitement, anticipation and hope for a new start, with simultaneous feelings of nervousness, anxiety and unease about a new and unfamiliar experience.
PhysicianOne Urgent Care is no stranger to helping turn feelings of unease and anxiety around … for their patients. This back to school season, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is honoring local educators who help students navigate these feelings every day.
As PhysicianOne Urgent Care prepares to help students get Back to School. Back to Better., they talked with students ranging from early elementary through graduate school. Their new video looks at the range of feelings students feel at the beginning of a new school year and honors the educators who help them work through those feelings.
Throughout the month of September, PhysicianOne Urgent Care will, also, host an online “Thank a Teacher” giveaway. Community members may submit an online “thank you” to an educator who has made a difference in their lives, be it a teacher, coach or other educator. Educators will be entered to win a gift card, and the school district with the most nominations will receive a donation from PhysicianOne Urgent Care for the 2017-2018 school year.
