We've Got
You.

Welcome to Better Healthcare.

What makes PhysicianOne Urgent Care better? To us, better healthcare means high-quality urgent care from a partner you trust, one that fits in with — and understands — your busy schedule. We understand that illnesses and injuries seem to happen at the most inopportune times, and we’re here for you 365 days per year to help you through them. Whether you’ve twisted your ankle the day before you leave on vacation, or you’ve been awake with your toddler all night with an ear infection, we’re here for you.

Leadership.

10 years ago our Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder, Dr. Jeannie Kenkare, saw a need for accessible healthcare without the wait and cost of the Emergency Room for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. As an Emergency Room physician, she realized that many of the patients she was treating could be seen faster and more cost effectively outside the hospital, saving the Emergency Room for the life-threatening emergencies it is intended for.  Dr. Kenkare still treats patients  in our centers throughout New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Uncomplicated.

Being sick or injured certainly complicates things. We believe getting the right care, at the right time, should not be complicated. Check in online from the soccer field, the board room or the comfort of your couch. Find a location near you and walk in when it works for you, no appointment necessary. We also offer online check-in, so you can chose a time up to 24 hours in advance that works for your busy schedule, hold your spot in the waiting room queue, and receive a text when its your turn to be seen.

Affordable.

For non-life threatening injuries and illnesses like an ankle sprain, an ear infection, strep throat, or a minor laceration, the average cost for an Emergency Room visit is $750, versus the $150 average cost of a PhysicianOne Urgent Care visit. Our average visit time is 48 minutes, compared to the average Emergency Room visit of four hours. PhysicianOne Urgent Care saves you $600 on average, and gives you three hours of your life back.

Trusted.

In Connecticut and New York we are honored to be an affiliate of Yale New Haven Health, one of the most prestigious health care systems in the country.  Our patients have hassle-free access to some of the most highly sought after primary care providers and specialists. In Massachusetts we are a proud teaching affiliate of the Tufts University School of Medicine, partnering to expand access to high-quality providers for our patients.
All our centers are accredited by the Urgent Care Association (UCA), which is the only accreditation to recognize quality, safety, and scope of care in the urgent care industry.

"The overall care I received was excellent! I also appreciate your affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital."

Patient
Derby, CT

"Throughout the visit I felt like the staff really cared. The Doctor took his time talking with me about my symptoms, and I felt like he listened to all my concerns and took that into consideration when recommending the right treatment. Thank you!"

Patient
Hamden, CT

"I had to take my son in for an ear infection following a sudden change in temperament at daycare. He was inconsolable the entire car ride but when we got there and by the time we left this care facility he was back to his normal happy go lucky little two year old boy. I highly recommend PhysicianOne Urgent Care."

Patient
Westwood, MA

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the attention you gave me last week. My son was started on antibiotics and ear drops. Within 24 hours he began to feel better. The poor kid had been going to school in tears because he was afraid of missing any more days, but feeling (and looking) just awful! He's not been able to even think about lacrosse practice, but thanks to starting him on antibiotics, he was thrilled to return to practice today."
